CINCINNATI (AP) - A giraffe born 10 days ago at the Cincinnati Zoo is making her public debut.

The zoo says the female calf, named Nasha, is ready for her public appearance Thursday in the outdoor yard at the zoo’s Giraffe Ridge after bonding with her mom, Tessa, and sister, Lulu. She also has bonded with two other adult female giraffes.

All five females were expected to come outside together for the Nasha’s debut.

Nasha was Tessa’s third calf in three years. The 7-year-old giraffe gave birth to Lulu in 2012 and to Zuri in 2011. Zuri broke her leg in a stall when she was seven weeks old and had to be euthanized.

Tessa and her mating partner, Kimba, have been at the zoo since 2008.
