CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A Middle Tennessee woman is facing charges after a video shows her boarding a bus and confronting a second-grader that she thought hit her stepdaughter.

The Leaf Chronicle (https://leafne.ws/1o6HPpT) reports Kela Ieshia Hand is charged with assault and disorderly conduct over the incident, which occurred on April 25.

Video obtained by the newspaper through an open records request shows Hand grabbing a 7-year-old boy, yelling threats at him and trying to drag him off the bus as he cries and screams.

The bus driver and other parents protested and Hand eventually left the bus without the child.

The newspaper said Hand did not immediately respond to phone calls and messages seeking comment.

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System says parents are not allowed on buses and the driver was reprimanded and reassigned.
