WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) - The long-delayed double-homicide trial of Hugo Selenski is being postponed again.

Luzerne County Judge Fred Pierantoni said Wednesday that Selenski’s trial for a pair of 2002 slayings will begin Nov. 12 “barring any unforeseen circumstances.”

The 40-year-old defendant’s trial has been continuously delayed, most recently due to a grand jury investigation that led to witness tampering charges against Selenski and his former defense team.

Selenski himself told reporters Wednesday that he doubted the November trial date would stand.

He is accused of the strangulation deaths of two people whose bodies were recovered among other human remains from his yard outside Wilkes-Barre in 2003.
