Sen. Claire McCaskill, Missouri Democrat, said Wednesday that the attack on Benghazi has become so political that lawmakers have forgotten that they still don’t have enough information to prevent it from happening again.

“Way too many people have lost sight of the fact that we still haven’t gotten it fixed,” she said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

Ms. McCaskill pointed out that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had been on the Hill asking for more money for security prior to the attack on the U.S. Consulate.

“The most important thing here, this was a tragedy, it was a terrible thing that happened, is making sure we prevent it going forward,” she said.
