COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus will perform as scheduled at Value City Arena in Columbus this week after a different unit had performers injured in an accident.
A Ringling Bros. spokeswoman says the unit performing in Columbus for four days starting Thursday is separate from the one that saw performers injured Sunday in Providence, R.I., and does not include the particular act in which they were hurt.
The show performing in Columbus is called “Built to Amaze.”
The show in Providence was titled “Legends.” Nine people were injured in the “human chandelier” act, in which eight women hang by their hair from a ring. The accident is being blamed on a broken clamp.
