CARLSBAD, N.M. (AP) - One worker was trapped in a vehicle but unhurt when a warehouse collapsed at a potash mine east of Carlsbad.

The Carlsbad Current-Argues (https://bit.ly/1j2SZnJ) reports that cause of the collapse Monday at The Mosaic Co.’s operation is under investigation.

Company spokeswoman Sarah Fedorchuk says the warehouse that collapsed was built in 1939 and used to store and prepare potash for shipment.

Fedorchuk says the worker who was trapped was rescued after several hours.

The company employs around 600 people and operates three warehouses near Carlsbad.
