BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - The National Weather Service says there have been no reports of injuries or damage after at least two tornadoes touched down briefly on Colorado’s Eastern Plains.

Meteorologist Scott Entrekin says other parts of the Front Range reported hail and high winds on Wednesday.

The tornadoes touched down near Akron, northeast of Denver.

Entrekin says tornado warnings were issued for northeastern Colorado, which means tornadoes have either been observed or conditions were severe enough to produce them.

The weather service says hail up to an inch in diameter fell from Fort Collins to Denver, and up to three inches deep in Washington County.
