SHAWNEE, Kan. (AP) - Officials of FedEx are pledging to help investigate the death of a man who fell out of a golf cart at a large parcel-handling complex in northeast Kansas.

Police in Shawnee were called to the facility around 8 a.m. Tuesday and found the 21-year-old man lying on the pavement.

Shawnee police Capt. Jodi Andrews told KCTV (https://bit.ly/1kJza6x ) that witnesses reported seeing the man tumble out of the golf cart. He later died at a hospital.

The man’s name had not been released by Tuesday night.

In a statement, FedEx officials offered condolences to the man’s friends and family and promised to cooperate in the investigation of how the man died.
