TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A change of plea hearing has been set for two men accused of conspiring to hack into the computer systems of the Navy and more than 30 other websites in an attempt to steal identities of service members.
Federal court records show that 27-year-old Nicholas Paul Knight of Chantilly, Virginia, and 20-year-old Daniel Trenton Krueger of Salem, Illinois, have asked to enter guilty pleas in the case.
A hearing is set May 20 in Tulsa.
Federal prosecutors say the men allegedly hacked a system that stores personal information for 220,000 service members.
The case is being prosecuted in Tulsa because the Navy servers that were hacked are located there. Prosecutors have yet to recommend sentencing guidelines to the court.
Court records do not list an attorney for either man.
