HELENA, Mont. (AP) - Atlanta-based Gray Television Inc. says it will buy three television stations in Montana for about $2 million.

The company said in a statement Wednesday it reached an agreement with Intermountain West Communications Co. to acquire NBC affiliates KTVH-TV in Helena and KBGF-TV in Great Falls.

Gray also agreed with Rocky Mountain Broadcasting Co. to acquire the CW affiliate KMTF-TV in Helena subject to a waiver from the Federal Communications Commission.

The company says it expects the deals to close in the summer or fall. It says it will begin operating the NBC affiliates on June 1.

KTVH station manager Greg Pace says employees were told of the proposed sale Wednesday.

He says two executives from Gray will meet with the staff on Thursday.
