LAS VEGAS (AP) - Jury selection is continuing in Las Vegas for the murder trial of a former Cirque du Soleil (sihrk doo soh-LAY’) performer accused of killing a dancer in the Luxor hotel-casino’s “Fantasy” revue.

Prosecutors, defense attorneys and a Clark County District Court judge spent a second day Tuesday asking prospective jurors if they heard news accounts of the murder case against Jason Omar Griffith.

Griffith’s lawyers say he was defending himself during an argument with 31-year-old Deborah Flores Narvaez when she died in December 2010.

Flores Narvaez used the name Debbie Flores. She was reported missing when she failed to show up for a nightly performance.

Griffith was arrested almost a month later, after Flores’ body parts were found in two concrete-filled containers in an empty Las Vegas home.
