UNION CITY, N.J. (AP) - Firefighters are dosing hot spots after gaining control of a fire that damaged five buildings in Union City.

Officials say the fire broke out in a building on New York Avenue around 2 a.m. Tuesday and the flames quickly spread to four neighboring structures.

According to broadcast reports, as many as 30 people have been displaced.

There are no reports of serious injuries.

There’s no word what caused the blaze.
