CINCINNATI (AP) - A Cubs and Reds game that was postponed by rain on April 28 will be made up as part of a day-night doubleheader on Tuesday, July 8.
The first game at Great American Ball Park will start at 1:10 p.m., followed by the regularly scheduled game at 7:10 p.m.
It’ll be the Cubs’ second trip to Cincinnati this season, turning the visit into a five-game series. The All-Star break comes the following week.
Cincinnati expects to have right-handed starter Mat Latos, closer Aroldis Chapman and catcher Devin Mesoraco back from injuries by then. Latos and Chapman have missed the entire season because of injuries sustained during spring training. Mesoraco return from an injury and pulled a hamstring, landing him back on the disabled list.
