BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The state’s Division of Vocational Rehabilitation is offering a summer youth employment program that aims to connect North Dakota high school students with disabilities to open jobs.
The North Dakota Department of Human Services says qualifying students must be juniors or seniors in high school or between 18 and 21 years old and enrolled in a secondary education. Students also must qualify for vocational rehabilitation services.
Russ Cusack is the division’s director. He says the placements can begin as early as May 27. Job hours and duration will vary, but they will typically be 20 hours per week for 13 weeks.
The program ends Sept. 1.
