HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Police have identified a 39-year-old man who was found shot to death in Hartford.
Police responded late Monday night to Park Street on reports of shots fired and a victim. They say they found Leslie Vasquez lying on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds to his torso and elbow.
The Hartford man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police say they received numerous 911 calls after the city’s ShotSpotter system detected 11 shots fired. The system was installed in 2011. It can detect gunshots and determine from where they came.
This is the city’s fourth homicide of the year.
No arrests have been made. Police continue to investigate.
