DECATUR, Ga. (AP) - Police say a 6-year-old boy who was inside a car when it was stolen near Atlanta has been found safe.

DeKalb County police Capt. Stephen Fore says the Honda Accord was stolen shortly after 8 p.m. Monday from an address on Glen Hollow Drive near Decatur.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (https://bit.ly/SvY3fG) that the boy and the car were located shortly before 11 p.m.

Fore said investigators believe the car’s driver ran inside an apartment and left the car running with the boy inside. When the driver returned, the car and the boy were gone.

Few other details were immediately available early Tuesday.
