CAIRO, W.Va. (AP) - Dam owners and monitors can learn about safety regulations and other dam-related issues at a workshop this week in Ritchie County.
The workshop will be held Thursday at North Bend State Park in Cairo. It’s sponsored by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s Dam Safety Program.
Workshop topics also will include dam terminology and inspection guidelines, safety precautions and causes of dam failures, and maintenance problems and solutions.
