HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C (AP) - Nuclear plant inspectors are sharing findings on how Duke Energy’s plants in North Carolina performed last year.

Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials scheduled a presentation on Monday in suburban Raleigh to discuss the agency’s assessment of the Harris nuclear power plant during 2013.

NRC officials have planned similar sessions on Wednesday in Southport to talk about the Brunswick nuclear plant and on Thursday in Huntersville north of Charlotte to review the two operating units at the McGuire plant.

Regulators say that all three locations operated safely.

The Harris plant got increased scrutiny last year because of an issue with the ventilation system for some of the plant’s emergency facilities. NRC inspectors identified an apparent violation at the Brunswick plant that could have caused trouble during certain flooding scenarios.
