TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - A 22-year-old Arizona State University student who was accused of causing serious burns to two young women attending a house party in Tempe has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor endangerment.

A Maricopa County Superior Court spokesman says Andrew Kent entered the plea Monday and is scheduled to be sentenced May 30 by Judge Rosa Mroz.

Kent had been charged with aggravated assault in the March 2013 incident.

Police said an 18-year-old student and a 17-year-old California girl visiting the university received very serious burns when a liquor bottle exploded after being thrown into a bonfire.
