LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) - Lynchburg police have identified a man who was killed in a fall at a construction site.

Police say in a news release that 63-year-old Donnie Lee Bryant fell 40 to 50 feet. He was pronounced dead at Lynchburg General Hospital.

The accident occurred Saturday at a building that’s being converted to apartments. Police say Bryant’s company, D.L. Paint Contracting Company, is a subcontractor for the project.

Bryant’s body was sent to the medical examiner’s office to determine whether any medical issues were factors in the fall.

The accident is being investigated by the Lynchburg police and fire departments and the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry.
