MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - It’s time for the annual biker rallies on South Carolina’s Grand Strand.

The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reports (https://bit.ly/1fLv3uP ) the first bikers for the annual Harley-Davidson rally are expected to arrive this weekend. The rally officially opens next Monday and continues through May 18.

The Atlantic Beach Memorial Day Bikefest opens May 23 and continues through May 26.

Myrtle Beach city spokesman Pat Dowling says bikers and residents need to be considerate of each other.

Dowling says the city is asking bikers to keep the noise down and realize that residents need a good night’s sleep to go to work or school each day. He says local residents need to be extra alert driving and not assume bikers always see them on the road.
