FORT CARSON, Colo. (AP) - The Defense Department says a Fort Carson soldier has died in Germany from a noncombat-related illness.

The military says 19-year-old Pfc. Daniela Rojas of Los Angeles died Saturday in Homburg, Germany. No other details were released.

The military didn’t say where became ill, but she was serving in Operation Enduring Freedom, the U.S. operation in Afghanistan.

Rojas was assigned to the 4th Brigade Combat Team, part of Fort Carson’s 4th Infantry Division.
