ROMULUS, Mich. (AP) - Authorities seized a gun from a woman who works at a retail shop at Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

The .38-caliber handgun was loaded with five rounds. The Transportation Security Administration says the gun was detected Sunday when the woman put her bag through an X-ray machine, a standard procedure for airport employees who work beyond security checkpoints.

The woman was arrested. An email seeking further comment was left with the TSA. A statement from the agency didn’t indicate why the woman had the gun at the airport.
