HUDSON, N.H. (AP) - Comcast is expected to employ about 200 people at a new customer service center by the end of the year in Hudson, New Hampshire.
The center, located at the former home of Presstek, a printing equipment company, can employ up to 600 agents. Employees will provide support for a region serving 1.6 million customers in New Hampshire, Maine, eastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod and the islands.
Comcast will start advertising and posting new positions this month. Those interested can attend upcoming area career fairs and apply online.
The announcement was made Monday morning by Gov. Maggie Hassan and other state officials.
“This new facility represents our latest investment in the tools, technologies, and people that will help improve our customers’ experiences with us,” said Steve Hackley, senior vice president of Comcast’s Greater Boston Region.
With the new positions, Comcast will have more than 1,700 employees across New Hampshire.
Presstek was based in Hudson until 2007, when its corporate offices moved to Connecticut.
The building is part of the Sagamore industrial Park.
