MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (AP) - A police parade on Aquidneck Island will honor an MIT campus officer allegedly slain by the men who bombed the Boston Marathon, as well as an MBTA officer injured during a shootout with the suspects.

The 31st Annual Aquidneck Island National Police Parade is being held Sunday. The organizers say it is the only one in the nation that pays tribute to law enforcement officers.

Among the officers being honored are slain MIT officer Sean Collier and injured MBTA officer Richard Donohue. Also being honored is Detective Sergeant Frank Lema of Naval Station Newport, who died on base last year when he was hit by a truck.

Donohue plans to march in the parade, which will be attended by law enforcement officers from throughout the Northeast.
