BOSTON (AP) - New England sports legends Bill Russell and Luis Tiant will be among the featured speakers at the AARP’s bi-annual expo in Boston.
The “Life@50+ National Event & Expo will run from May 8 through May 10 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.
The sports legends will speak on a panel scheduled for May 9. A separate “Life Reimagined” panel moderated by journalist Soledad O’Brien on May 9 will feature Boston Marathon bombing survivor Jeff Bauman, who lost both legs in the attack, and Carlos Arredondo, who was hailed as a hero for helping Bauman and others after the bombing.
Other athletes in attendance will include AARP Life Ambassador and NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino, who will help kick off AARP’s three days of volunteer activities in and around Boston on May 8.
