On a night when D.C. politicians are expected to put down their swords, departing Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius found herself sitting down to dinner with the fiercest Obamacare critic in Congress.

She could be spotted at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner Saturday just a few seats away from Sen. Ted Cruz, a Texas Republican who frequently pledges to repeal “every word” of Obamacare.

Mrs. Sebelius oversaw the law’s implementation and efforts to turn around its balky start last fall.

How the pair ended up at the same table in the Washington Hilton is anyone’s guess, but they seemed to be all smiles and even chatted for few minutes before the gala began.
