QUINCY, Ill. (AP) - Students from Germany are participating in an exchange program that has taken them to western Illinois.

The Quincy Herald-Whig reports (https://bit.ly/1nW20XE) that 18 German teenagers will be in Quincy through Tuesday. Then they’re scheduled to spend two days in Chicago before traveling home.

The visit is sponsored by the Sister City organizations of Quincy and Hereford, Germany. Nine students from Quincy will travel to Germany in June as part of the exchange.

The German students are staying with families in Quincy.

One of the exchange projects will have the students visit grocery stores in Quincy and Germany to study the differences. Then they’ll have to write reports on their findings.
