SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Downtown Sioux Falls has 55 new pieces of sculpture.

About 40 volunteers helped install the outdoor art on Saturday as part of the city’s 11th year of SculptureWalk.

The original outdoor sculptures are displayed year-round along Phillips Avenue, Main Avenue and 8th Street. The sculptures are owned by sculptors from around the world and loaned to the exhibit.

SculptureWalk is supported by donations and sponsorships from area residents and businesses. Each year, visitors vote for The People’s Choice sculpture, and that sculpture is purchased by the City of Sioux Falls.

This weekend’s activities feature the SculptureWalk Expo, a two-day indoor sculpture show during the installation.
