CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Uranium company Cameco Corp. is moving its headquarters from Cheyenne to Casper.

The company says it will close the Cheyenne office on Sept. 30 and lay off two employees. The remaining 13 employees in the Cheyenne office will move to the Casper office, which is closer to its Wyoming operations.

The Canada-based company cited low uranium prices for the move.

Cameco’s American operations have been headquartered in Cheyenne since 2010, when it moved its offices from Colorado to Wyoming.

The change does not affect Cameco’s Smith Ranch-Highland and North Butte mines in Wyoming.
