BEDFORD, N.H. (AP) - Retired and active officers and enlisted personnel from the New Hampshire Army and Air Force National Guard are gathering for their annual state conference.

Saturday’s conference in Bedford comes at a time when no members of the New Hampshire Army National Guard are in a combat theater. That’s the first time that’s happened in 10 years.

Attendees will hear from military and political leaders and get an update on the KC-46A air refueling tanker. Last year, the Air Force selected the 157th Air Refueling Wing at Pease as the preferred location to base the tanker, a move that is expected to bring at least 100 jobs to the state.
