ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - A 27-year-old man has been sentenced for his role in the fatal shooting of a St. Paul bar owner over a $20 pool table fee.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports (https://bit.ly/1ki40qz ) Yia Her, of Oakdale, was sentenced Friday to 30.5 years in prison.
Her was angry that Malina’s Sports Bar owner Vone Moua would not return the $20 he had paid to rent a pool table June 9, 2013. He allegedly called his 23-year-old brother-in-law, Cheng Vang, to bring a gun.
Vang later pleaded guilty in the killing of 45-year-old Moua. Vang also shot and wounded two other men at the bar.
In March, a jury convicted Her of aiding and abetting second-degree murder and two counts of aiding and abetting second-degree attempted murder.
