LAS VEGAS (AP) - A Las Vegas teenager is facing a murder charge as an adult in the shooting death of his 18-year-old brother.
The 15-year-old is due for an initial appearance Friday in Las Vegas Justice Court on a felony murder charge that could get him life in prison in the May 22 slaying of Clayton Wesley Bronson at their home in southwest Las Vegas.
The teen isn’t eligible for the death penalty due to his age.
He could face up to life in prison without parole.
The Associated Press isn’t naming him until he faces the judge as an adult.
Police say their mother told police she heard a gunshot and found Clayton Bronson wounded in the stomach, then saw the younger son fire a fatal shot into the 18-year-old’s head.
