AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - Republican Gov. Paul LePage’s re-election campaign is reporting it raised more than $180,000 in the latest short reporting period.

The reports filed with the Maine Commission of Governmental Ethics and Election Practices on Friday cover contributions and expenditures from April 23 to May 27.

LePage’s contributions to date total more than $1 million.

Democratic candidate Mike Michaud has the most cash on hand at $860,000. LePage’s campaign has a $758,000 cash balance.

Michaud, who has lead in fundraising throughout the race, brought in roughly $153,000 over the latest reporting period and $1.62 million to date.

Independent candidate Eliot Cutler raised about $33,000 this period. In total, his campaign has reported about $1.29 million, which includes a pair of $200,000 loans from the candidate. Cutler has a cash balance of roughly $39,000.
