KEYSTONE, Colo. (AP) - Late snow storms along the Continental Divide have allowed Arapahoe Basin ski resort to extend its season through at least June 22.
Resort officials announced Friday they were adding three bonus weekends to the season: June 6-8, June 13-15 and June 20-22, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only. Weekday skiing ends June 1.
Since the season opened in October, A-Basin has received more than 440 inches of snow, well above the 307 inches it received during the 2012-13 season. Several storms dropped 47 inches of snow in May.
The resort has stayed open through July 4 several times - in 1993, 1995, 1996, 1997 and 2011.
