BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Six people have been arrested and more than 1,500 bags of heroin have been seized following a drug investigation in Vermont.

The six were arrested Tuesday in separate police raids in Colchester and Burlington. Police believe the cases are related.

Several of those arrested were from Burlington, and others were from Newark, New Jersey.

The investigation was an effort between the Vermont Drug Task Force, Colchester Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Police said the investigation is still ongoing and more arrests are expected.
