COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Police are investigating the death of a pedestrian who was struck and killed in Columbus.

Authorities haven’t released the name of the woman who was hit Friday night on the city’s Northeast Side. A motorist tells The Columbus Dispatch she called 911 around 10:15 p.m. after seeing the woman’s body sprawled on her back in the middle of the road.

The investigation is ongoing.
