SODUS, N.Y. (AP) - A father has been arrested after sheriffs say he let his 3-year-old son wander around the roof of their upstate New York home.

The Democrat and Chronicle of Rochester reports (https://on.rocne.ws/1iLRWP4) Saturday that neighbors called 911 after spotting the boy atop the two-story home.

The newspaper says it’s the second time this year 37-year-old Thomas Rouland has been accused of putting the boy at risk.

The newspaper reports sheriff’s deputies first arrested the Wayne County man on April 1 after the boy was found walking down a road.

Now Rouland is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and criminal contempt. The newspaper says he’s been released on his own recognizance.

A number listed for Rouland has been disconnected. It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney.
