BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - More than 130 Louisiana National Guard members have returned from a yearlong deployment at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
The Guard says the returning unit was the 2228th Military Police Company, 773rd Military Police Battalion, reunited with family and friends at a welcome-home event in Baton Rouge on Friday.
The company is based at Camp Beauregard in Pineville.
