ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - A 25-year-old Anchorage man was sentenced to nine years in prison for crashing a stolen car and injuring five people.

State prosecutors say Kevin Wright drove with four passengers and ignored an attempted traffic stop by police in December 2012.

He instead accelerated through an intersection and T-boned a sport utility vehicle driven by a woman with her two children.

The other driver suffered a traumatic brain injury. She told Superior Court Judge Michael Wolverton on Friday that the crash left her blind in one eye, deaf in one ear and paralyzed on one side of her face.

Wright and another person in the stolen car were taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Prosecutors say Wright pleaded guilty to felony assault and failure to stop for a police officer.
