COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A judge has scheduled a hearing where a 16-year-old boy charged in the stabbing death of a central Ohio jogger is expected to plead guilty.
The teen is charged with one count of murder and one count of tampering with evidence.
Franklin County judge Timothy Horton scheduled a Thursday hearing for the boy, who investigators say lived in a group foster home when he repeatedly stabbed 55-year-old Jane Juergens in a suburban Columbus park in October, then tossed his knife into a wooded area.
County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien says if convicted the teen faces life in prison with parole eligibility after 18 years.
A message was left with attorneys for the teen.
