A former Army Ranger from Texas has been missing at sea since Tuesday, his friends say that not enough is being done to find him.
Wrangler Leesman, who lives in Richmond, Texas, was on vacation in Belize when he and a friend decided to go kayaking off the coast.
“He texted me right before they went out and said ’we’re going to go try and kayak and fight these waves,’” said Jamie Morgan, a friend of Mr. Leesman who has been desperately searching for any news of the missing man.
Local new station KHOU 11, a CBS affiliate reported that the kayak flipped in the rough waves. Rescuers found the kayak and Mr. Leesman’s friend within a few hours of the incident, but there is still no sign of Mr. Leesman.
Now, Mr. Leesman’s loved ones are desperately trying to find any news of their missing friend, using social media, scanning Belize news sources, and even contacting members of Congress for help.
His friends insist that if anyone could survive this, Mr. Leesman can.

“Hopefully they can find him,” said friend Chris Micheli. “I know he’s strong enough to make it.”
Mr. Leesman served five tours in Iraq and Afghanistan during his time in the army.
