MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minneapolis police say a woman was struck and injured by a school bus near Target Field as fans were headed to a Minnesota Twins game.

Police spokesman Scott Seroka (suh-ROH’-kuh) says the bus was trying to make a left turn onto a freeway entrance when it struck the woman in a crosswalk Thursday.

Seroka says the victim was trapped under the bus but was alert and talking when police and medical personnel arrived.

The Star Tribune (https://strib.mn/1pBOy9j) reports the bus was registered to the Webster School District in Wisconsin and apparently had just dropped off students for the Twins vs. Texas Rangers game.

Police say the bus was making the turn on a green light. Seroka says drug and alcohol tests on the driver appear negative.
