NEWARK, Del. (AP) - A New Castle man has been charged following two robberies that happened over the weekend.

Delaware State Police say 40-year-old Robert Lloyd was arrested in Newark on Wednesday after leading authorities on a chase that began when they tried to arrest him in Charlestown.

State police say that Lloyd robbed a Riggins gas station on Capitol Trail in Newark on May 24 and a TD Bank in Rehoboth on May 25. Delaware State Police said previously that the gas station was robbed at gunpoint.

Lloyd was charged with one count of first degree robbery and one count of second degree robbery.

Lloyd did not appear to have a listed number.
