GEORGETOWN, Del. (AP) - The Delaware State Police say a 21-year old driver is dead and his passenger critically injured as a result of a car crash in Georgetown.

Delaware State Police say it happened just before 1 a.m. Thursday on Sand Hill Road just north of Rudd Road. State police say the driver, Brandon M. Robertson, was driving his truck around a curve when he drove off the side of the roadway. State police say the truck overturned and also struck a utility pole.

Robertson was pronounced dead at the scene. His 18-year-old passenger was taken to the hospital in critical condition. State police identified the passenger as Anthony B. Huling of Georgetown.
