CLEAR LAKE, Iowa (AP) - Workers using heavy equipment are preparing land in southeast Clear Lake for a 340,000-square-foot distribution center being built for an undisclosed company.

The Mason City Globe Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1knJDJ7 ) that work has begun at the site in the Larry Luker Memorial Industrial Park.

Delaware-based Windmill Realty LLC is developing the project for the business, described only as a Fortune 100 company. The company’s name won’t be revealed until hiring at the distribution center begins.

The warehouse will employ 164 full-time workers with an average annual wage of $39,000.
