SEOUL, South Korea (AP) - South Korea lost 1-0 to Tunisia in a friendly Wednesday that was part of the team’s final preparations for the World Cup.
Zouheir Dhaouadi broke through the middle of the South Korean back four at the end of the first half to slot the ball past goalkeeper Jung Sung-ryeong.
The hosts looked flat and short of ideas against the hard-working North Africans and struggled to turn possession into scoring opportunities.
To make matters worse, German-based defender Hong Jeong-ho was carried off with an ankle injury.
South Korea plays its final warm-up on June 9 against Ghana in Miami before heading to Brazil. It plays Russia, Belgium and Algeria in Group H.
