The next 9/11 is coming. It is no longer a matter of if, but only when and where. We can thank the Obama regime for the next 9/11.
Why is the regime to blame?
It is a series of policies the regime has engaged in that guarantee the next 9/11 will come. The next 9/11 will not be an attack by a weapon of mass destruction. The Jihadists don’t need to go to the trouble of obtaining a WMD.
Sheryl Attkinson, the former CBS reporter laid out the story on May 24 that will lead to the next 9/11.
In 2011, America went to war with Libyan strong man Muammar Qadaffi. One of the problems with Obama’s idiotic Libyan adventure is that he had no plan to secure Qadaffi’s weapons. While Qadaffi had given up his WMD program, he still had a lot of weapons, including 15,000 to 20,000 MANPADS. MANPAD is the military acronym for a man-portable air defense system. Or as they are more commonly called, shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles.
According to Ms. Attkinson, only about 2,000 of those missiles have been recovered. The Obama regime apparently used a contractor to round those missiles up and used the compelling argument that if American jets started falling out of the sky, Libya would be branded a terrorist nation. Using that argument, the Libyan rebels were supposed to go out and immediately find and surrender those missiles.
Does any of the bright lights in the Obama regime remember post 9/11? Much of the Arab world rejoiced at Osama Bin Laden’s attack on America.
Now some of those missiles have been traced to an al Qaeda affiliate.
What is going to happen next is perfectly predictable. It sounds like the plot of a Tom Clancy novel. In fact, it was the plot of a Tom Clancy novel.
Al Qaeda is going to strike at American airliners again because those planes are a symbol of America. Since the mid-90s, airlines have been a coveted terrorist target. In the mid-90s, one of al Qaeda’s first plots was something called “Bojinka” plan. This was to be a coordinated attack on 10 American airliners over the Pacific Ocean.
On 9/11, the terrorists used four American passenger jets as their weapons. Since 9/11, there have been multiple other attempts to destroy American aircraft, including the shoe bomber and the underwear bomber. In 2006, there was an attempt to destroy 10 planes over the Atlantic and there was the 2010 attempt to bring down cargo jets.
The missiles that are missing are older missiles. While they may be a limited threat to modern combat aircraft, passenger jets are totally vulnerable.
Jihadist groups have always looked at targets for their symbolic value as well as their economic value. All terrorists have to do is get half a dozen missiles into the U.S. through the open southern border and launch them at airliners that are either taking off or landing.
Even bringing down a single airliner would devastate the American economy. Instantly, air travel would drop to almost zero. Hundreds of thousands of people would be thrown out of work. Boeing would not sell another new airliner for a very long time.
The missiles are coming. Because America’s border is not secured and because the Obama regime went into Libya without thinking, it is now only a question when and where.
When Americans die in this next spectacular terrorist attack, some will wring their hands and ask, how could this happen?
The answer is: Barack Obama is how something like that could happen.
