MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Forecasters say more heavy rains are likely in southwest Alabama.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for the southwestern corner of the state, including Mobile and the beaches around Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.
Weather service estimates show Mobile could get more than 4.5 inches of rain through Thursday. And rainfall totals from 2 inches to 3 inches are projected across a wide area.
Minor to moderate flooding is possible, particularly in low-lying areas.
Scattered storms are possible as far north as the Tennessee Valley.
