TORONTO (AP) - Justin Mapp scored in the 70th minute for the Montreal Impact to salvage a 1-1 draw with Toronto FC on Wednesday in the first leg of the Canadian Championship.

Mapp dribbled through Toronto’s back line and beat a lunging Steven Caldwell to fire a shot past goalkeeper Joe Bendik. It was the Impact’s only shot on goal all night.

Doneil Henry scored on a header for Toronto in the 20th minute.

The second leg is next week in Montreal. The winner will represent Canada in the 24-team CONCACAF Champions League from August to October.
